Tundra Rescue is looking to increase our core group of personnel for daily operations. We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to work on both Confined Space Rescue Standby and Rope Access projects. In addition to job-site deployments throughout Ontario, successful candidates will assist other Tundra Rescue core staff with equipment management, maintenance, training and logistics at the Tundra Rescue headquarters in Clearview Ontario. The position includes a broad range of duties, from rescue-standby operations for high-profile customers, to snow clearing and facilities maintenance in between deployments. Successful applicants will be given wide-ranging opportunities for personal development and learning, starting with internal Tundra Rescue safety and rescue training to match our rigorous standards. 

Job Type: Part Time (30 hours a week minimum commitment) 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  - Standard First Aid with CPR and AED 

  - Currently valid WHMIS, Work at Heights and Lock-Out Tag-Out certificates
  - Drivers License and access to a personal vehicle 
 - Training in confined space access and rescue is an asset
 - Training in Rope Access (SPRAT and or IRATA) is an asset 
 - Experience and training in rope systems, High Angle Rescue, Rescue procedures and similar skill sets is an asset 

 - Successful candidates must be willing to receive internal training in, and conduct field work using Confined Space Rescue and Rope Access methods. This  includes working in extremes of both considerable height and confined/hazardous spaces. 

* Tundra Rescue staff may be required to interact with various high-profile private and government organizations and personnel. As a result, candidates must be willing to submit a criminal records check and sign non-disclosure agreements where necessary.

Location of Work: 

 - Successful applicants will be expected to work on active job sites throughout Ontario (primarily in the GTA), and will also be required to provide logistical and training support at Tundra Rescue HQ in Clearview, Ontario on a regular basis.

Additional Requirement: 

 -  Applicant must be SPRAT and or IRATA Level 3 Rope Access technician, with a currently valid ticket and must be in good standing with SPRAT/IRATA

 -  Must have more than 3 years experience in a supervisory role within the Rope Access / Rescue industry 
 -  Must be willing and able to supervise and coordinate both Rope Access and Confined Space projects throughout Ontario
